Well, as I feared, the CD tied up Evan's computer without any success
even reading it.  Time to try something else.  (Go after a CD player
with a soldering iron to get the digital data before it gets to the
D/A?)

I am curious if this CD is something new from the DR guys.  This is
the second copy of this disk which behaves this way.  The first we
took back to the store as a defective item.  It was not quite as bad
as this one, but it still might have been cardboard as far as my
machine is concerned.
