Turns out she and my wife were given some bad info. The talked with one
of their clients and asked her what she could see when she logged on to
my sister-in-law's box account. The client replied that all she could
see was her own folder. So that resolved the initial issue.

That call did turn up an interesting fact. The client can create a
structure of sub folders within her folder. When my sister-in-law looks
at that client's folder she can't see those sub folders, but she can see
the files that are supposedly in them. Weird. Why that matters is that
if a client upload a file to the client's main folder box notifies my
sister-in-law. But if the client puts the file in a sub folder, box
doesn't send a notification. That explained why she never got a
notification from box about a set of files a new client uploaded.

So, it turns out that they don't have a problem after all. It was just
some bad info they got from somebody.

And, they have tried Dropbox and found that the download times are about
twice as long as it takes with box.
