[PLUG-TALK] More re Amazon

I hate sites that greet me with "hi John! Look at all the stuff we know
you won't be able to live without!" So for years I do my shopping on
Amazon with Firefox where the entire Amazon domain is blocked from
leaving cookies. If I really want to buy something I copy and paste the
Amazon URL from Firefox into Opera, where I have no such restriction. I
complete the transaction in Opera.

Tonight I decided to buy five DVDs from Amazon third-party sellers. I
pasted the URLs into Opera and added each one to my shopping cart. But
when I went to pay I discovered that Amazon has suddenly decided that I
am Larry Holgate, whoever he is. (Hi Larry! Glad to see you back!)

WTH?

I suppose I can ultimately figure out how to solve the problem, but
they can't ship until Monday anyway, and it's close to me bedtime. I'll
deal with it tomorrow.

Meantime, if anyone knows Larry Holgate, there are five DVDs in his
Amazon shopping cart.
