[PLUG-TALK] Netbook computer disassembly

I inadvertently put too large an SSD drive in the Dell Latitude 2100 when
the hard drive failed. The strange thing is Slackware-14.2 installs without
a wimper on the drive, but when I try to boot it there's no lilo screen
after the POST.
While all screws came out when it was disassembed to replace the drive,
and I replaced the screws to 'just snug' tightness, there's one (M2.5x10mm)
on the bottom corner that won't come out.
The hole in the head is slightly distorted but the 2.5mm bit fits and
turns it. When it turns, the 'nut' seems to turn with it. Wes and I tried
putting upward pressure on the case while turning the screw, but it did not
come out.
I need to remove the 120G SSD and replace it with a hard drive. Is anyone
here experienced in this type of hardware surgery for non-distructive
removal of recalcitrate screws? If we can dis-assemble the case I suspect
that the sockets/nuts can be re-attached where they belong and I can replace
machine screws as needed from Parkrose Hardware.
