I once had a similar problem with a Phillips head. I epoxied a screw
driver to the head of the screw, let it set. Then I was able to pull up on
it while unscrewing it. If you try this approach, make sure you degrease
the wrench and the socket thoroughly, and give it at least 24 hours.
If the nut is just spinning this will be of no use.
