You didn't seem to have a question. I'll provide a few to balance things 
out.

What is your use case for date restricted searches?
Which date range are you most interested in?
Would sorting results by date be of use?
    search terms !date
will do that.

DuckDuckgo does allow for six Google time ranges

   !gday
   !gweek
   !gmonth
   !g24
   !ghour
   !gyear


For me, the ! search utility outweighs the lack of date filtering.

And while messing around looking for dates, I found I can do a quick 
translation to/from English and Spanish with !sdict
