The ThinkPad manual shows rubber pads on each long side of the default HDD.
Lenovo also sold the X200 (and other X models) with SSDs installed and they
have a frame instead.

Apparently not for most of us. :-) It refers to a mechanical drive with
magnetic platters that spin, afaik.
