Thanks for confirming. Both the Nokia and iPhone are unlocked; the iPhone
likely needs to be jailbrak[ed|roken] to set the APN to allow images to be
sent/received and ensure web access on non-local access points. There is, of
course, an app for that. I appreciate the lesson.

My last message mentioned a MVNO offering a very low price: $3/month. My
further reading taught me that they use VoIP rather than the cellular
network for voice calls and the quality is quite poor. So I'm looking
closely at Red Pocket Mobile, sold and serviced by eBay.
