[PLUG-TALK] iPhone6 jailbreak software

Has anyone here run jailbreak software on an iPhone?

We have an iPhone6 (iOS-12.2) that has text message and web access issues
when away from here. My research suggests the APN (Access Point Name) might
need to be tuned to that of the MVNO or carrier but I cannot access the APN
on the phone because it's hidden. Apparently one needs to run jailbreaking
software to allow access to the APN and other settings.

Having no experience at all with Apple products I'd appreciate learning
whether certain software are better than others to open the hidden settings
on this phone.
