You are right. I am an idiot, the source is not updated anymore. I should
have checked it before responding.
And the data feed is not free anymore. I remember getting data out of his
site couple of weeks ago, before I figured out how the virus spread works.
Perhaps they published it while it was still under development.
Anyway, I am embarrassed, and rightly so.
To be honest, I find it hard to look at these numbers anymore. It is like
watching live war or the environment destruction. At this point it is just
repeat of the same, over and over, region after region.
No government in the developed world is learning anything. Our
administrations and public understand data driven decisions as - do not do
anything, stay calm, until we can really, really verify that people are
dead - let's not do anything drastic until we are sure it really is
exponential and within at least 3 sigma.
Darn, nobody has the guts to shut down transport and lock down people
movement until there are at least 200 dead people per day on the cards. Do
people have to pay so much blood to delay predictable action just by 2-3
weeks?
Apologies for misdirection and pointlessly re-stating that the sun will
rise in the east again tomorrow.
