So far I have always gone for the print version of things to read
because it is more comfortable to read sitting in my recliner by the
fireplace than in front of the computer on my desk. But perhaps it's
time for me to wander into the 21st century and get a tablet that I can
hold up the same way as I currently hold a book. Naturally, it needs to
have a touch screen that is big enough to see a page in a book plus the
stuff around the edges - panels for icons and such. And it needs a
battery so I can take it with me if I want. And weight might be a
consideration. Oh, and I don't want a phone.
I've just started looking, and the RasPad3 popped up when I searched on
'linux touchpad': https://raspad.com/products/raspadv3
I know there are a lot of people here who know about the Raspberry Pi,
so I thought I'd ask for thoughts. Of course, any tablet that will run
Linux will do as well. And on that subject, I also ran into Ubuntu
Touch, but alternatives would be welcome.
Thoughts and suggestions?
