Update: I easily located my ancient Radio Shack outlet tester. The bathroom
outlets showed hot-ground crossed; other outlets on that same circuit (the
bedrooms) all showed correct wiring. Weird.
An hour or so later I noticed the electric toothbrush charge light blinking
away. Huh! Turned on the waterpic and it worked, too. The outlets in the
other bath also came back to life. WTF?
I've new Leviton thin 15A dual outlets on their way and will replace the
ones in the baths and kitchen.
Oh well,
Rich
