Thinking that it might be the *.mp3 that is wrong I tried to copy just
one specific file, like this:
cp /media/jjj/Movies/MP3s/Arensky\ -\ Concerto.mp3
/media/jjj/2040-6DEA/MP3s/Symphonic/
But I got the same error message.
I should add the previously I used PCManFM with two windows open, one
for each folder. I selected all the files in /media/jjj/Movies/MP3s and
dragged and dropped them all on the empty folder in the other window.
The little file operation window popped up and showed each file being
copied. When it finished I unmounted and removed the 1.1TB drive and
plugged it into another computer, where I copied all the files into the
other computers local drive, and from there imported all the files into
Audacious. I am listening to them playing, but for the last one third
or so of the files in the Audacious playlist the time of the piece does
not display, and if I try to play the piece I get an error message that
Audacious cannot find the file.
I wonder if the problem is exFAT on the 1.1TB drive. Or am I
misunderstanding the cp command?
