Rich,
I used to use print services, but haven't in years now. So, I can't
recommend any.
However, like you I have had nothing but bad experiences with inkjet
technology, so I went to laserjet technology as soon as I could. Of
course, the early affordable laserjets were monochrome. Color was very
expensive. But that has changed. Today, my family uses:
- Brother DCP-L2550DW printer for monochrome. Also, use it for copying
and scanning documents.
- Brother HL-L8260CDW for color
We are happy with both of these. They were relatively affordable. They
both can be accessed over either a wired or a wireless network. Or I
guess, you could use USB as well. And all the functions work and are easy
to configure whether you are using Windows or Linux. (I guess I haven't
tried getting to them from Android, but I doubt that that would be
a problem.)
