Hmm. Where would the water be coming from. Generally, somewhere
uphill. If you know it's not your plumbing, then two alternatives come
to mind: either a roof problem or a gutter problem.

You might try your insurance company. When my mother had a broken pipe
and had water all over her hardwood floor, they dispatched a drying
contractor with an alacrity that suggested that they were interested in
reducing damage. They may conclude that their policy won't help you, but
they may have more informed suggestions.
