I used to be plagued with robo-calls, but I stumbled into a solution.
On accident while changing phone companies I was given a number with the
564 area code. This is a new code that applies in all of western
Washington from Canada to the Columbia river. I quickly discovered that
I got zero robo-calls and also zero cold sales calls. If my phone ever
rings I know it is someone who I gave my number to.

I expect that eventually the phone miscreants will discover this new
area code and my days of telephone bliss will be over. Well, at least I
can enjoy a period of respite.
