I had a visit from a sales person. She claimed $50/mo, 50 Meg bits/sec rate (I forgot whether up or down). She said she could only sign up 4 accounts for the area she was covering. Claimed the tower will support only the internet; not cell phones.

I wonder how this makes business sense. How many $50 accounts would Verizon need to have to pay for the tower? How many accounts could the tower reliably support?  What are other issues (other than Verizon's historically terrible customer service!)?
