[PLUG-TALK] Multnomah county libraries - any large ones still open?

I frequently use public and university libraries, learning
about oddball science subjects mostly. Good libraries
shelve the book that I *should* read next to the book that
I went to shelf to find. Books in inaccessible warehouses
lack this feature, as do very small libraries.
I recently visited the Hollywood library - I remember a
different building and larger collection years ago.
What are the largest libraries still open in the Multnomah
County system? I live in Washington county, with a dozen
libraries larger than some of the shrunk-to-boutique-size
Multnomah county libraries I've peered into recently.
Many (most?) of the Multnomah County library books are in
storage during upgrades and construction - particularly
Central, my favorite for more than 60(!) years, starting
when I was in first grade. Now closed for construction,
perhaps entailing a major downsizing of public-accessible
bookshelf.

P.S. A public-facing librarian at Multnomah Hillsdale
library agreed with my "next to the book" observation,
but whispered that her managers do not. Intellectual
discovery conflicts with mass indoctrination.
