I learned about this connection only a year or two ago.
I periodically make the joke that he should have his Nobel Prize
revoked.
I hate Phillips head screws. The invention of the power screwdriver
means you often (enough to develop a burning loathing) find them
stripped out and you need to dremel a slot in them to get them out.
I am a fan of torx, where the bit is much less likely to spin
out. Apparently, for a bunch of complicated licensing and national pride
reasons, the Robertson dominates in Canada, while the Phillips dominated
in the US.
