[PLUG] Slightly OT: PCC software engineering program

Sorry Jason.
I was out of work for 23 months. I'm now working on a 1099 for $20 hr, from 
my previous job at $140k. Happy to have it right now!
My brother-in-law went to PCC and got his Associates in CS. He had 1 6mo 
job installing Win 2k for the Water Dept. Hasn't worked since and to be 
honest, PCC didn't really prepare him with any real skill sets that are 
needed in todays market. Of course he just "slid" through the program, but 
there were not any checks and balances on the program or the "councilor" he 
had to advise him properly. When I went to PCC in the early 70's, everyone 
had some decent skill sets to gain employment. I went to PCC again during 
my first year of being unemployed to upgrade some of my skills. The classes 
were fine, just not aggressive enough to help students get the tools they need.
