[PLUG] cisco 678 DSL latency issues

Thanks! That seems to do the trick, although I'm having some issues
with what the cisco says it is set at and what is needed to actually
connect to it. (it claims 10baseTx-HD, when 100baseTx-HD is needed,
but I don't think that's a big problem.)

What I am still curious about is why is this a problem in the first
place? Is auto-negotiation particularly difficult with cisco hardware
or is there something I'm missing? Where would I look to start if I
were to attempt a patch for this?
