 If you running it in a bash shell you could
create an alias

alias ssh-host='ssh hostname.domain.com'

then to connect type
$ ssh-host

or in /etc/hosts

ip.number.here   domain.name.here   shortcutname

65.213.217.241   nsa.gov            nsa


then to connect type
$ ssh nsa
