[PLUG] Wanting to try GRASS

Actually, this (above) is exactly what I am in the process of 
trying to figure out how to do.  I don't have a lot of time to 
pursue it, so I don't know how long (i.e., weeks/months) it's 
going to take me to figure it out.  I'll try to remember this 
discussion if I ever get there.

I've gotten to the point where I can do some cool 3D 
visualizations of the Spearfish dataset, and I'm pretty confident 
that I can make my viewpoint and angle of view exactly as I want 
them (but I haven't tried it yet -- is that like saying I've used 
GRASS but didn't inhale?).  

My next step will be to figure out how to import USGS DEMs and 
DLGs into GRASS.  It's prob'ly out there somewhere, I just 
haven't had time to look for it and try it.  Keep me posted, and 
I'll keep you posted.
