Might look into Micros terminals.  I don't think they're local, but if
you want to see just what kind of abuse they can withstand, go to the
Oregon Zoo and hit the gift shops and restaurants.  All the terminals
used by the retail and gate staff, as well as the terminals in the
Cascade Grill are made by Micros.  Retail and admitting are pretty
easy on the terminals, but foodservice absolutely punishes their
hardware.

They're designed to be POS terminals, but they appear to be a
touchscreen X terminal; cash drawer and customer display are optional,
so I would assume they could be used by themselves as well.
