[PLUG] Disabling all logging...

For an nfs-root environment I want to reconfigure Redhat 7.3 to do zero
logging.  I've disabled syslog and commented out all lines in
syslog.conf under /etc but I'm still getting boot.log, wtmp, 
ksyms.0, ksyms.1, and ksyms.2.  

According to icewalkers.com I need to disable all local disk checks,
remount the root partition read/write, mount a swap partition 
over nfs, and start portmapper first.  Do I need to have nfs-utils
installed?  How do I remove any automounting and disable any 
automount daemon?  What is the kernel daemon and how do I ensure
that all nfs mounts are up before it starts?
