I'm double posting this to ptp and plug. Sorry if this offends you, I just
want to get rid of this stuff, and hope someone can use it.
Everything goes first come, first serve. . . if there is something for the
cafe / a project I think is cool, then it goes there.

Lonnie's hardware give away gave me this idea, and I've been getting whined
at to get rid of some of this stuff, so here goes. . .

Older hp vectra, I'm giving it away as is. Dual 200mhz pentium pro box,
scsi, etc. Cost $5000 new ;) Mobo is dual proc capable but the magic smoke
escaped out of one of the VRM's capacitors and now it doesn't really post. .
.  I haven't played with it to see what the problem is. It really is a nice
case, AT power supply is still in there, 250W I believe.

vectra I'm running inside, as well as the one in the garage. I'm keeping the
one inside, it makes a great printer stand / mail server.

I also have . . .
- p75 system, sorta makeshift (286 case, not any exact mounting points for
hard drives and the like, so everything is kind of loose ;)
- a similar pentium (133ish ?? ) minitower.  I haven't touched them for a
while. If someone bugs me I'll power them on and post the specs. Last I
remember they were working fine heating my garage doing seti units ;) I
think someone was saying something about a mp3 server for the cafe, the
smaller box would probably do that well. Both worked when I last touched 'em
IIRC
- ISA sound blasters, 2 or 3
- microsoft bus mouse cards + mice
- A bunch of small (~1GBish) hdds,
- some isa network cards, most ethernet / 10 base 2 / token.
- a couple 286 / 386 laptops for those with masochistic tendencies to
install linux on / museums / rifle targets / lcds, etc.
- some pretty big AT server / cases. If you're interested I'll make a list.
- 14.4 /28.8 pcmcia modems, might not have dongles, etc.
- pci modem, dunno if it works
- 72 pin memory, umm, a bag full, different stuff.
- 30 pin memory keychains ;)
- Old computer books, i.e. 8086, 8088, 80286 assembly manuals from intel, a
crapload of trade magazines.
- Bendys - if you've ever worked at stream, you'll want to torture these
things, free, but you have to send me pics of what you did to them.
- ye olde [crap] AT keyboards (sorry no expensive IBM ones)
- mobo boxes
- mobo / guts (raid array, etc) from a hp netserver (ye olde, dunno if it
works. I'm going to mod the case, but the rest of it goes (

A parallel port NIC. Free - but I want to see someone getting this work
under linux. Ghetto, but you can network a 286 laptop with it ;)

I'll probably toss / shoot / burn / "Samir Nayeenanajar" / donate . . . most
of the stuff that doesn't get taken for free, just trying to give stuff to
those who can use it.

BTW, if anyone has an AT->PS2 converter or a serial mouse / serial to ps2
converter or knows how to make a laptop lcd "useful" via a video out /
parallel port - that would be really cool.
