[PLUG] Constipated parallel port

  Has anyone else had a problem with the parallel port getting stuck when
trying to print via CUPS? It happens infrequently here, enough that it takes
me a hour or so to go look at the process list and discover the problem
after stopping/starting cupsd and trying to figure out what broke.

  This is a RH 7.3 system with cups-1.1.19 installed.
