God should kill us?  That's a wish I won't echo.
I made a proprosition, the logic works if you accept self preservation,
I figure most people tend towards this.  The logic is fine for
reasonable people.  As far as religiosity, self preservation is a
secular pillar of civilized societies.  Without self preservation
societies crumble, look at the Roman Empire if you think I'm nuts.

I find any person's lack of distaste for an attack on the poor
disturbing.
