That is not at all what I said. You were speaking that because God could
foil counter measures (birth control and whatnot), abstinence was the
only fully successful method.

But clearly if there is an all powerful God, abstinence is not a fully
succesful method, and even if there isn't, human virtue is too frail to
be fully successful for more than, you know, a few tenths of a
thousandth of one percent of the population.

Now, if you want a method of birth control which is fully successful
whether or not there is an all powerful God, you are speaking of the
method known as death. By flambe.

Actually, you made a bunch of pompous, religious statements.

And I made a response which is truly logical: dead people, especially
those who have died by fire, _cannot_ procreate. Do I suggest that we do
such? No. I thought we were talking about individual choices, so I at
most I was suggesting that if an individual wanted to make sure he or
she never procreated, his/her best bet would be to immolate themselves.
And these days, there being plenty of things to protest, you can get two
benefits for the price of one!
