I've been impressed with Dreamweaver's ability to do the right thing
with HTML. Like most (all?) wysiwyg authoring tools, the resulting
markup is way more verbose than it need be -- and the cruft builds and
builds when the same document is edited repeatedly -- but it's not bad
markup.

I usually have the luxury of being able to hand-craft my pages, but if
someone needs to get heavily formatted stuff online under a strict
deadline, it's not a bad tool.
