Thanks, Dale - i did the steps you described years ago in Firefox, and
have migrated my profile from version 3.x. up through 11; i'd forgotten
all about the Flash Settings. Flash has gotten buggier in Firefox (at
least on my system), so i've started to use Chrome only when i really need
smooth Flash playback.
