I don't have time this weekend to figure this out, but I did attempt to
reproduce the problem
Slackware-current
x86_64
RYZEN cpu
JDK8 u2xx from SBo
Jabref from SBo
(I know my Java install is good because I use it android studio)
JabRef launches without any problems using the above config.
Your next step here is to check your env variables. Java gets VERY picky
about the shell vars, e.g. $JAVA_HOME. If these were changed at any time,
for ANY reason, it will fuck things up.
It can't find Java files because its looking in the wrong place. I honestly
don't know the list of paths that you need to be looking at. Think about
the questions you are asking and try to avoid running every random ass
command people give you.
Java is sensitive, and breaks easily.
