Spanish, not Italian. But mutually intelligible. The Italians spell it
without the dieresis over the u (hence 'pingŭino' must be Spanish), but
they pronounce it the same. More to the point, they are made here by
Marinela USA, a branch of Marinela México, which is their home country.
Marinela also makes other Mexican pastries, e.g., Gansitos.
