If (when) that happens I'm sure you'll find your way to Slackware. After running through the bash/dialog based installer from the 90's, you'll boot into runlevel 3 and type startx to launch the fluxbox desktop of your dreams.

As a nod to Dr. Nemeth and the people who made all this possible, I'll uninstall NetworkManager this weekend and configure a static IP for eth0 in /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf.
