The standard keyboard shortcut for this is CTRL+SHIFT+h. Usually called something like "paste with formatting". Libreoffice has a "paste special" submenu in Edit.

This typically works in all applications if the text area supports formatting. ctrl+v to paste the text. ctrl+shift+v to paste the copied text and all additional formatting.

I'm not sure if this is dependent on the DE or if it's tied into some sort of X clipboard feature. YMMV

Also works in windows and mac. Not sure who came up with that particular feature.
