[PLUG] HOW to search for a useful spreadsheet?

Octogenarian wishing to eat a balanced diet:
  * vainly searches for weekly grocery list.
  * nutritionist offers a weekly meal plan:
    + designed to be "attractive" to potential dieter.
    + whose last line is "prepare a weekly shopping list" ;{
  * finds USDA documenting "... the basis for the maximum Supplemental
    Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefit allotments.[1]

I'm looking for a spreadsheet/table/??? for a nominal 2000 calorie diet 
categorized by the first column of those tables.

A discussion of "HOW to search for a useful spreadsheet?" could also be 
useful to many.
